Dad had his first post-op appointment today since being dismissed from the hospital. It went really well. He had the staples removed from the incision. And his surgeon is very happy with the progress that dad is making. The extensive bruising he has experienced this time is a normal side effect of the blood thinner they prescribed for this knee replacement. It can cause soreness and does make you look like you've been through the ringer. However, it will not impede healing in any way. Dad starts physical therapy on Monday. He can also switch to a cane for stability if he feels comfortable doing so. All in all, it's a terrific report. Thanks for your continued prayers for his speedy recovery.
